Community, School & Club Mediation
Building Understanding Across Communities, Schools, and Clubs

Supporting Respectful Communication and Positive Resolution
Community, School & Club Mediation provides a safe, structured, and impartial process to help individuals, groups, schools, clubs, organisations, and communities resolve conflict in a respectful and constructive way. Mediation supports open communication, encourages mutual understanding, and helps parties work towards practical solutions that support healthier relationships and stronger communities.
Conflict within communities, schools, sporting organisations, clubs, and voluntary groups can arise for many reasons, including communication breakdowns, committee disagreements, interpersonal disputes, governance concerns, differing expectations, team dynamics, or ongoing tensions between members. When conflict remains unresolved, it can affect relationships, participation, morale, performance, and the overall wellbeing of the wider group or organisation.
Leona provides a calm, balanced, and inclusive approach, creating a neutral environment where all parties have the opportunity to feel heard and respected throughout the mediation process.
Drawing on her experience as a Psychotherapist working with interpersonal and family conflict, together with her background in mediation, a BA in Psychology, an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy, and an MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Leona supports individuals and groups in navigating difficult conversations with greater understanding and constructive communication.

Initial Consultation & Group Assessment
The process begins with an initial consultation where Leona meets with key individuals, committee members, school representatives, coaches, volunteers, group representatives, or those directly involved in the conflict to discuss the concerns, group dynamics, and circumstances surrounding the dispute.
This stage provides an opportunity to identify the issues affecting the group or organisation, clarify expectations, explain the mediation process, and assess whether mediation is appropriate and suitable for the situation.
Group Mediation Sessions
Following the initial consultation stage, mediation sessions are arranged in a safe, structured, and neutral environment appropriate to the needs and size of the group involved.
The focus of these sessions is to support respectful communication, reduce tension, improve understanding between participants, and help the group work towards practical and mutually acceptable outcomes that support healthier group dynamics and ongoing working relationships.
